‘Together forever’ – Irish couple die hours apart in different hospitals as tributes pour in for ‘unforgettable’ people

Hundreds of mourners shared tributes for the couple who had ‘hearts of gold’
MOURNERS have told how a married couple who died just hours apart will be “together forever”.

Pat Branham passed away on November 14, followed shortly after by his “dear wife” Bridget, who was in the ICU ward of a Dublin hospital.

A death notice said: “The deaths have occurred of our beloved parents Pat and Bridget Braham (nee Masterson).

“Pat passed away peacefully in Gorey District Hospital on 14th November during the night followed shortly afterwards by his dear wife Bridget at St Vincent’s ICU. ”

The late couple, who were from Co Wexford, will be “sadly missed” by their children Paul, Jenny and Patrick.

They will also be mourned by their grandchildren Becki, Conor, Ashley, Beth, Aílbhé, Liam, Aoíbhín and Teddy.

Pat and Bridget will be “deeply regretted” by their siblings Tommy and James along with their neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Condolences poured in for the couple and their family at a “sad and difficult time”, with mourners telling how they were “wonderful people”.

One person offered their deep condolences to the family and said that the couple will be “together forever”.

Another said: “My sincere condolences to Pat and Bridget’s families on the deaths of their parents.

“I worked with both in Vincent de Paul. Truly a remarkable couple.

“They served the community with genuine heart, I will never forget them. Rest in Peace.”

A third mourner wrote: “I wish to express my sympathy to Paul and all the Braham family on the death of Pat and Bridget.

“May the Lord comfort you all in your sadness, assuring you of my prayers for your parents. May they Rest in Peace.”

EMOTIONAL TRIBUTES

One person added that the couple were “wonderful people” who gave their time “tirelessly” to help others.

They said: “Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May their gentle souls rest in peace.”

Another mourner emotionally shared their memories of the couple after their sad passing.

They said: “Your mam and dad had a heart of gold and would do anything for you. Bridget was my home help, and a good one at that, we got on so well.

“I’m glad I had her as a helper and my friend. I’m going to miss you so much, Bridget.

“Thanks for everything, hope God has a bed in heaven for both of you and rest your weary heads.”
