Parents’ heartbreaking ‘eternally missed’ tribute to ‘lovely’ Irish man who died suddenly while solo travelling abroad

His family praised the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, which is helping them with the complicated process of bringing his body home.
His relatives said on social media that James was well-known and loved in the local area.
They said: “James was an independent individual that went on his adventures.
“Unfortunately these tragic circumstances occurred overseas when James was happiest, after losing 19 stone and gaining his freedom by travelling.”
A death notice said James will be “eternally missed” by his heartbroken parents Leo and Jenny, his siblings Leonia, Raymond and Luke, and his niece Caitlin.
It continued: “His large circle of friends, neighbours and family will always fondly remember James with love.”
Tributes flooded in for “lovely young man” James Hagan.
One sad mourner wrote: “So very saddened to hear about James’ so sudden death and so young.
“James was a lovely lad with a gentle manner and a lovely smile,he will be missed around Monaghan.
“My deepest sympathy to Jenny, Leo and family and to Bernie and Susie and all of the extended family and friends. Rest in peace James.”
Another shared that James was a “true gentleman” who always spoke to everyone.

They added: “My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.”
Others shared that James was a “lovely, down-to-earth guy”, while another said he had “the kindest and most gentle soul”.
One mourner said: “James was a lovely young man who had a kind word and a chat for everyone who passed him.
“No doubt he will be deeply missed around Mullaghmatt and Monaghan Town.
“His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew and loved him.”

They have organised a fundraiser which has raised over €7,000.
James’ funeral details have not yet been confirmed.
