Graphic images show the extent of the woman’s gruesome injuries sustained in the shocking incident
A WOMAN who suffered horrific injuries after a firework was launched into her bedroom still lives in fear after the attack.
Carolina Sinko, 30, was left with burns to her body after her home in Crumlin, Dublin, was struck during a night of mayhem on Halloween.
Footage of the moment her home was targeted by thugs — who also attacked frontline Gardai with fireworks — was also widely shared on social media.
The accounting assistant, who is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, was rushed to hospital with severe burns after she was directly hit with the firework.
Ms Sinko sustained serious second-degree burns to her body, arms and hands.
She also had to undergo surgery to reconstruct her right thigh.
As she continues to recover from her harrowing ordeal, Ms Sinko told of her ongoing torment as the Garda investigation continues.
She told The Irish Sun: “I was in the house with the light off and I lay down on the bed. Five minutes later, I heard a ‘whoosh’ in my ear — I saw the bright flash and thought the room was on fire.
“I saw my clothes were on fire. Flatmates in the living room started to pour water on me.
“My right thigh, stomach and my right bum cheek are burnt.
