- A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after an attacker is believed to have doused her with petrol and set her alight at the foot of a property in Dublin.
- The horrific incident took place in broad daylight at a house in Clondalkin, Dublin, on Tuesday morning. Gardai say the incident occurred at approximately 10.10am.
- The victim has been taken to Tallaght Hospital to be treated for burn injuries which are believed to be serious. The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
- Gardai are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either incident to contact them. They are particularly keen to speak to anybody who wasin the Oak Downs area between 9.30am and 10.20am and who may have video footage.
