“The best Christmas present we could have is to have them home safe and well where they can be looked after.”
One of Julia’s family members said the only gift she would like to for her Christmas Day birthday was the teens return.

She said yesterday: “Julia, I’m begging you, if you see this post, please come home! We’re terribly worried about you.
“We’ve prepared your favourite dumplings with mushrooms and pierogi today. Grandma made borscht.
“We can’t imagine sitting down at the table without you. How can we share the Christmas wafer? We’re all waiting for you.”
Prayers had been said for the two teenage girls at a Carol Service in St Michael’s Church in Tipperary Town on December 21.
Fr Eugene Everard had asked the congregation to pray the girls would return home soon during the service.
