Gardaí and emergency services are currently on the scene of an “incident” in north Dublin.

It took place in Ballymun in Dublin 9, as confirmed by Gardaí this evening.

It is believed one man was shot and taken to hospital.

“Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of an incident in Ballymun, Dublin 9, this evening Sunday 14th December 2025,” a spokesperson for the force said in a statement.

“As this is an ongoing situation. No further information is available at this time.”
