Celeb Traitors star Ruth Codd reveals she’s undergone SECOND leg amputation as she shares health news in wheelchair

Ruth revealed why she’d chosen to have the second leg surgery as she got a tattoo
CELEBRITY Traitors star Ruth Codd revealed she’s undergone a second leg amputation, as she shared her health news while in a wheelchair.
Ruth injured her foot while playing football at the age of 15, leaving her with chronic pain and mobility issues.

The incident had left her with severe nerve damage, which contributed to her discomfort.
At the age of 23, she decided to have her right leg amputated below the knee.
Now, she’s revealed that she has had her other leg amputated, as she appeared in a TikTok video.
Ruth, 29, appeared in a wheelchair and opened up to fans, saying: “Hi guys, so I have some good news and some bad news.
“The good news is that we’ve had a full circle moment and I’m back making TikTok content in my parents’ house.
“The bad news is that I can’t do it in front of that lovely, floral blue wallpaper anymore due to the fact that that room is upstairs and I’ve just had my second below knee amputation.
“So unfortunately, those facilities are not available to me at the current moment in time.”
Ruth added: “A lot to unpack for everyone involved,” and she then showed her wheelchair to fans, adding: “This is my new whip.
“I like to call her Fat Tony, and she has the top speed of f*** all per hour, especially if there’s a step involved.”
The star captioned her post: “No legs who dis?” and tagged Paralympics 2026.
Ruth was flooded with messages of support from fans, to which she jokingly responded: “Guys stop being nice to me it’s weirding me out.”
The star previously opened up about the gruelling ordeal of her first amputation to Teen Vogue, saying: “I got injured at 15, and I didn’t get my leg amputated until I was 23
“So, those eight years were operation after operation, and, sometimes they kind of worked for a while, and then I’d end up back on crutches.
“At that age, you think you’re unstoppable, and it was a lot of having to learn a bit too young that sometimes life doesn’t really work out the way you thought it would.
“But I wouldn’t change it.
“It made me a really resilient person.
“I’m thankful for just being able to do simple things like walk around or go on a bike or ride my horse.
“It kind of teaches you to not take things for granted.”
On her Instagram, Ruth recently revealed why she’d decided to have her other leg amputated.
She appeared in a video while getting a tattoo, and discussed the surgery, which she was yet to have at the time.
The 29-year-old explained: “I was on crutches for eight years, and the way I used my crutches I was always up on my tippy-toes, and so the joints in my feet were destroyed.
“It’s just kind of the same thing. It’s gone past the point where they can do anything about it.
“I’ve already had to have all my toes amputated, and so I have no toes and so my foot looks like a little hamburger.
“So with the second one, it’s just the same situation. It was just my quality of life and it’s never going to get any better from this point so they can only really stop it from getting worse.
“The amount of health problems and stuff I’ve had this past year – I haven’t let it stop me from doing anything but I feel like it has hindered me and made my ability to do my job more difficult.”
Ruth added: “I’ve been through it once before, so I think with two prosthetics I’ll be pretty unstoppable.”
Ruth was then asked if she’s feeling positive about the operation, to which she said: “Yeah, it’s the same chap – he’s giving me a two for one deal.”
